Weekly Safety Report: Thefts and Arrests reported in Mount Vernon, Ohio
This week in Mount Vernon, Ohio, there were several incidents reported to the police. These incidents included a theft from a vehicle at the Park National Bank Computer Center, a theft reported at 727 Follin Avenue, and several arrests made for criminal trespass, assault, and domestic violence. The police are currently investigating the theft and the arrests were made on outstanding warrants.

Danville's free throw shooting fuels comeback win over Hayes
The Danville girls’ basketball team won a tight one against Hayes, but fell in another nail biter to Mount Gilead last week. Danville took on Hayes in front of a home crowd on Dec. 4 and Addison Mickley had a dominant first half and finished the game with 24 points. In the first quarter she went off for nine of the team’s 13 points, but Hayes was still able to jump out to a 17-13 lead. Both teams scored 14 points, and it was a 31-27 lead for Hayes at the half. Mickley had 15 points to lead the charge.
