MOUNT VERNON — Questions about sea monsters, narcolepsy and searching for donuts in a trash can were asked in Dan Emmett’s inaugural Book Bonanza on Tuesday. Students interested in participating in the book reading competition were asked to read several books in which they’d be asked questions between two teams. Questions revolved around a plot point in a book; students answering with the title and author. The team that correctly answered more questions won the competition.
