Lewisburg, Pa. — Police have charged a Lewisburg man after they served a search warrant and found explicit images of minors on his electronic devices.

Gregory Eugene Thomas, 39, faces charges after police served the warrant on April 18 at his home at the 100 block of Century Village in Buffalo Township.

Members of the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation Northeast Computer Crime Task Force received a tip that Thomas potentially had a social media account with files of child sexual abuse materials, according to a release from state police at Milton.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children provided task force members with info on the social media account that led to the warrant. State police at Milton assisted task force members with serving the warrant Thursday morning at Thomas's home.

Police seized and forensically examined Thomas's devices where they found the files with explicit materials involving minors, according to the release.

Thomas was charged with a total of 11 felony counts of sexual abuse of children and one felony count of criminal use of a communication facility. He was arraigned by District Judge Jeffrey Mensch in Mifflinburg who set bail at $25,000.

As of Monday, Thomas posted bail, according to court documents. His preliminary hearing is set for April 30 at Mensch's office.
