Woman charged for public drunkenness
Lewisburg, Pa. — A woman who nearly got struck by a vehicle while she was crossing the street was charged with public drunkenness. The 37-year-old woman tried walking across West Branch Highway near North Derr Drive and North Seventh Street near Burger King, said Trp. Bradley Derk of state police at Milton. Derk watched as a vehicle almost struck the Port Treverton woman as she crossed the highway just after 9 p.m. last week. She was stopped and charged with public drunkenness.

Thief steals woman's CPAP machine
Danville, Pa. — An elderly female victim is missing a CPAP machine after a suspect stole it recently from her home in Montour County. Trooper Derk of state police at Milton says the 74-year-old female victim in Valley Township reported the theft the morning of April 11. The CPAP, or continuous positive airway pressure machine, is medical equipment that helps patients with sleep-related disorders to breathe at night.
