KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Netherland Inn in Kingsport has officially reopened after around ten months of necessary renovations.

The historic property closed in July 2023 to restore areas of the inn, and staff welcomed the public back on Saturday for tours. Steering Committee Chair Glenda Bobalik told News Channel 11 that Netherland Inn leaders were eager to get operations back into order.

“And so we looked at the times and tied into when we completed the restoration because actually, we didn’t finish until the end of April, almost the 1st of May,” she said. “So then we had to put everything back together and back in its correct place and get ready. So it was just in time we were ready to open and start our season.”
