They have already confirmed a tornado near Wellman, IA with winds of about 100 miles per hour this morning. MUSCATINE, Iowa — Muscatine music lovers have the chance to enjoy the sounds of Creole music this summer, and even better, that opportunity is completely free. Terrance Simien and the Zydeco Experience will visit Muscatine on Friday, June 7. The famed performers will first host an educational program on "Creole for Kidz" at the Musser Public Library and HNI Community Center at 1:30 p.m. The band will then perform a public concert at the old barn in Discovery Park later that same day, at 7 p.m. Both events are free to attend, but concert attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets. Tours of the historic barn will be available, and the Food Truck Emporium will have food available for hungry concert-goers.
