A celebration of Jason’s life will be held Saturday, May 11th from 2:00 p.m. until into the night at the Malcom’s home - 636 170 th Street, Aledo, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.

Kathy Slattery is a lunch supervisor at Sherrard Elementary School, and she was named the district's Tiger Talent award winner for the month of April. Police: 2 suspects charged with murder, drug-induced homicide in Mercer County
MERCER COUNTY, Ill. — Two people have been arrested and charged with murder in a Mercer County death investigation, officials say. Back on Dec. 22, 2023, the Mercer County Sheriff's Office and Coroner's Office were called to investigate a death in rural Sherrard. Two people were arrested on April 30 as a result of that investigation.
