The Minnesota Timberwolves pulled out of their mid-series slump and delivered a flawless 115-70 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Thursday to force a Game 7 in this roller-coaster, second-round playoff series. After dropping the first two games in the series at home, the Nuggets won three straight to take command, but Minnesota protected its home court and we're all set for a winner-take-all showdown on Sunday in Denver.

The Wolves will go on to face the Mavericks and Luka Doncic. The Minnesota Timberwolves stormed back for a stunning 98-90 victory that eliminated the reigning champion Denver Nuggets in Game 7 of their second-round NBA playoff series on Sunday night. The Wolves went on a 54-24 run in the second half that erased a 20-point deficit and advanced Minnesota to the Western Conference finals. They'll face the Mavericks next round while the Nuggets head home.

Cronenworth went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer and a walk in Sunday's 9-1 win over Atlanta. Cronenworth opened up the scoring with a two-run blast off Bryce Elder in the opening frame for his only hit of the night. Currently among all qualified first basemen, Cronenworth owns a 140 wRC+, which is third in baseball only behind Freddie Freeman and Bryce Harper. He's putting together an excellent campaign and is currently slashing .275/.344/.485 with eight homers, 30 RBI, 21 runs and a 17:33 BB:K in 192 plate appearances.

Thomas (knee) could start his rehab assignment next week, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports. Thomas has been making progress since suffering a Grade 2 MCL sprain on April 23 and could return to game action as early as next week. Assuming all goes well during his rehab assignment, Thomas could return from the injured list before the end of May.

Lipscomb was optioned to Triple-A Rochester on Friday. Lipscomb will cede his big-league spot to Joey Gallo (shoulder), who was activated from the 10-day IL on Friday. Lipscomb has been the Nationals' everyday third baseman during the last few weeks and owns a .252/.331/.290 slash line with 10 stolen bases on the year. Nick Senzel and Ildemaro Vargas should see plenty of action at third base moving forward.

The Reds recalled Spiers from Triple-A Louisville on Friday. Spiers will come up from the minors to replace Justin Wilson (shoulder), who landed on the 15-day IL on Friday. Spiers allowed three runs in four innings during his season debut in early April, but he has fared much better in Triple-A with a 2.43 ERA and 1.12 WHIP. The 26-year-old right-hander has been used as a starter in seven of his eight appearances at Louisville this year, though he will likely be used as a multi-inning reliever while with the Reds.

Atlanta, GA

Atlanta outrighted Stephens to Triple-A Gwinnett on Saturday. Stephens came up from the minors May 4 to replace the injured Pierce Johnson, and will now return to Triple-A as Johnson comes off the IL. Stephens made three appearances in his latest big-league stint, allowing one run over 3.1 innings while striking out two batters and walking one.

Perez went 2-for-4 with two triples, a run scored and four RBI in Saturday's 8-3 win over the Diamondbacks. Perez batted third and continued his strong start to the season, as he boosted his batting average to an even .300 and his OPS to .906. The versatile 24-year-old has settled in as the team's primary center fielder due to Parker Meadows being demoted to the minors. Perez should hold onto fantasy value as long as he's seeing regular playing time and swinging a hot bat.
