    14-year-old arrested for attempted carjacking at gunpoint, Huntington police seeking three additional suspects

    HUNTINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Four teenagers were involved in an attempted carjacking incident in the Huntington area on Tuesday, resulting in the arrest of one 14-year-old male.

    According to the Huntington Police Department, at 5:25pm on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, law enforcement responded to the 1300 block of 6th Avenue, were a victim reported having been forcibly removed from her vehicle at gunpoint by four individuals.

    Despite having removed the driver, the individuals in question were unsuccessful in commandeering the vehicle and fled the scene once the victim contacted emergency services.

    One individual involved, an unidentified 14-year-old male, was arrested in connection with the incident and faces First-Degree Robbery charges.

    Those with any information pertaining to the investigation or the whereabouts of the suspects have been urged to contact 911 or the Huntington Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (304) 696-4444.

    The suspects should be considered armed and dangerous, and are wanted for First-Degree-Robbery.
