Zach’s First Alert Forecast: Hot, Humid, and Stormy Week
No changes in the forecast until the weekend. Each day brings warm, humid, and stormy weather. The heat does crank up a bit on Wednesday and Thursday. Highs around 90 will feel like the mid to upper 90s through the afternoon. It’s our first round of true summer weather for the year. Keep the rain gear close by but you won’t need it all day long. Some could see a few showers each morning while most have the best chance through the afternoon. When everything is warm and humid, it’s almost impossible to say where the rain pops up on a day-to-day basis. It’s like predicting which bubble in boiling water will rise first. As a strong cold front approaches this weekend, we could see the chance for severe weather into Thursday and Friday depending on the pace of the front. Wind and hail would be the main threats. Highs drop into the 70s behind the front. Morning temperatures may reach the low 50s as lower humidity arrives. Can’t rule out a few showers still developing each day around the Sounds even with the cooler air.
