Letter: Let’s stop the hatred
Good for the town of Vail for canceling the residency of artist Danielle SeeWalker. Calling the war in Gaza a genocide is false and defamatory. Our defense department says there is no evidence of genocide. Let’s stop the hatred and focus on who’s a terrorist and who’s defending their country against a cruel enemy that uses its own people as human shields, keeping them from accessing the food, fuel and shelter that the terrorists are using. Hamas says it wants to kill all Jews. Its members execute people for being gay, they have outlawed abortions and other women’s rights. We don’t need to help them by falsely claiming they’re subject to genocide.

Letter: Keith Klesner for Holy Cross board
We’re lucky to live here, for all sorts of reasons. One that we often take for granted is our extraordinary energy service. Holy Cross Electric is the power provider in most of Eagle County. Most of us don’t even know that we, Holy Cross customers, are also its owners. We usually get a dividend check in the mail once a year that for other utilities would otherwise go to investors, not customers.

While art can push boundaries and challenge norms, it should never be a vehicle for promoting hate or discrimination. By upholding...
