Colorado Parks and Wildlife rejects pleas from ranchers to kill wolves attacking livestock
In a letter Tuesday, Colorado Parks and Wildlife told ranchers no "lethal" help is coming on the heels of wolves killing at least four yearlings in 72 hours last week. The state agency was backed by Gov. Jared Polis, who supports the wolf management program. Colorado Parks and Wildlife has been hit with an onslaught of letters from stockgrowers and other organizations from all over the Western Slope, requesting the state lethally take out two wolves that ranchers believe are responsible for some of the...

For those familiar with mountain town vacations, it may come as no surprise that data shows one of the most expensive – if not the most expensive – American getaways is located in Colorado.
Wolves have visited the area around these 12 Colorado mountain towns
With summer coming in hot, many Coloradans will soon be out and about exploring remote parts of the state's mountainous terrain. In a big change compared to last year, outdoor recreators will now be sharing that space with wolves that were reintroduced by the state. Given this reality, it's important to prepare for a potential – though unlikely – encounter, and part of that preperation involves knowing where wolves may be roaming. Colorado Parks and Wildlife has been creating a map each month that shows...
