Three PWCS Principals Chosen as Distinguished Cahn Fellows
Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) is pleased to announce that three principals, Jim Dutrow from Lake Ridge Middle School, Kaitlyn Engelmeier-Foor from Porter Traditional School, and Heather Goode from Sinclair Elementary School, have been selected to participate in the prestigious Cahn Distinguished Principals Fellowship for 2024-25. These exceptional leaders are three of just 70 principals chosen nationwide to be part of the 2024-25 cohort.

New LCPS calendar plan would give students more days off
LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. — There's a new plan being considered for students at Loudoun County Public Schools. This one would give them more days off. Originally, the district proposed delaying school start times on 16 days throughout the school year so that teachers can have more training time. But community feedback was overwhelmingly negative, causing the school board to change course.
Local High School Student Receives Scholarship for Exchange Program in Germany
CIEE, a nonprofit study abroad and intercultural exchange organization, is pleased to announce that local student Elora Main, a 10th-grader who is homeschooled, is one of 250 American high school students to be awarded the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) Scholarship for the 2024-2025 Academic Year. CBYX is a bilateral exchange program co-sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and German Bundestag (Parliament).
