New graves discovered at Centreville’s Bull Run Park
Bull Run Park in Centreville is often associated with the Civil War. However, decades earlier, the land was the site of the largest individual emancipation of enslaved people in American history, occurring decades before Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation. An 18th century African American cemetery sits inside Bull Run Park near the Atlantis Water Park, the first and largest integrated pool in the 1960s. Several years after the discovery of a Black family cemetery, 11 more graves were discovered on July 11, bringing the total at the site to 102.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. - A third suspect has been arrested in connection to a homicide in Oakton. Several agencies teamed in the arrest of 20-year-old Wilmer Adli Guzman of Washington, D.C. Adli Guzman has been charged with malicious wounding by mob and is currently being held at the D.C. Central Detention Facility.

Fairfax County murder suspect is in US illegally, ICE says
FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. - One of the suspects accused of murdering a man and leaving his body near a popular walking trail in Oakton is in the country illegally, according to ICE. Authorities say Maldin Anibal Guzman is a 27-year-old Honduran native who entered the country unlawfully and was first apprehended by U.S. Border Patrol in November 2018, near Hidalgo, Texas.
