Blooms and Family Bonds: The Story Behind a Grand Junction Florist

In the heart of Grand Junction, there’s a floral shop where every bouquet tells a story and every arrangement carries a signature tiny ladybug. This is Country Elegance Florist, a business that has been a cherished part of the community since it opened its doors in August 2002. The shop’s journey began when a calling, a leap of faith, and divine intervention converged in the life of its founder. The story of Country Elegance Florist begins with a feeling—when a woman, who had spent much of her life as a stay-at-home mom, had a feeling on her heart, a calling to open a flower shop, despite never before having a desire to become a business owner. With some part-time experience in the floral industry, a heart full of faith, a ton of prayers, and this feeling that would not ease up, she decided to pursue this calling. She thought that for this to work, she'd need a retail spot near Callahan-Edfast Mortuary to open in Parkwest Plaza, and she'd need some help. Despite the plaza being full of long-term tenants, a spot opened up soon after, and her daughter was laid off from City Market when her job was relocated to Denver. The timing was divine.
