There are ambitious plans, there are questionable decisions, and then there’s the decision to eat 26 burgers in four days. Somehow, I’ve managed to convince three other perfectly reasonable adults that this is an excellent idea. Welcome to Macon Burger Week 2026, where the buns are toasted, the toppings are outrageous and the beef is beefing! From Oct. 30-Nov. 8, Macon Burger Week returns with 26 participating restaurants, each bringing its own interpretation of what a burger can and should be. From classic beef patties and smoky brisket creations to sweet and spicy combinations, country fried steak, shrimp, and even a burger made entirely from cupcakes, this year’s lineup is anything but ordinary. As part of Billy’s Let’s Eat Review, in partnership with Visit Macon, our Macon Burger Squad is setting out to try every single entry and ultimately select our Golden Burger Award winner. Joining me on this deliciously ridiculous adventure are Chris Case, Michael Newton and Clarke Jackson, three fellow food enthusiasts who have agreed to sacrifice their waistlines, their free time, and possibly their ability to look at another hamburger for several weeks.
