Handwashing, food temperature issues cited at Anderson County restaurants

Four Anderson County food establishments fell below the "78" score threshold for a "C" rating in October 2026 restaurant inspection reports, according to the South Carolina Department of Agriculture. Inspectors conducted routine inspections throughout the month and ordered follow-up inspections within 10 days for facilities that received failing scores. In our coverage of food inspections around Anderson County, we categorize violations into two types: priority and priority foundation. Priority violations are those that pose the highest risk of causing foodborne illness and identify contributing factors that could lead to illness. A priority foundation violation is a contributing factor to illness. Rickey Lee Hall, Jr., of Anderson, pled guilty this week to two counts of Armed Robbery and one count of Pointing and Presenting a Firearm, announced Solicitor Micah E. Black. The Honorable R.
