FAIR LAWN, NJ - The Planning Board will continue its hearing about the proposed Taco Bell on the corner of Maple Avenue and River Road on May 13.

At the most recent meeting on April 29, the applicant proposed a drive-thru Taco Bell, located at the same location as the old Lucky's, a fast food stand. This property is on the Passaic River and is a high-traffic area that connects to Route 208 and leads into Hawthorne.

According to resident and Green Team Chair Michael Ciolino, Taco Bell plans to erect a 4-foot tall chain link fence along the river to prevent garbage from entering the river. Additionally, a traffic study was prepared using a Taco Bell in East Hanover and Wanaque

The hearing will continue on Monday, May 13 at 7 p.m. in-person only at Borough Hall, 8-01 Fair Lawn Avenue in the second floor council chambers.
