Monmouth County Man Arrested For Arson
HAZLET – A 49-year-old man was arrested and charged for a string of arsons that took place over the past five months in Hazlet, officials said. Albert Caporaso of Hazlet is charged with seven counts of second-degree Aggravated Arson as well as third-degree Criminal Mischief and fourth-degree Resisting Arrest.

Cops identify woman killed in Route 9 crash
Authorities on Tuesday identified the woman killed in a crash on Route 9 in Manalapan last week as a 25-year-old from Freehold. Amani Gilliam died of her injuries at an area hospital following the 4:30 a.m. Thursday crash at the highway’s intersection with Ryan Road, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office said.

Power outage caused by utility pole crash, police say
WALL TOWNSHIP — Wall Township police said a power outage that occurred early Thursday afternoon in Wall Township and its neighboring municipalities was caused by a car crashing into a utility pole. The crash occurred on Hospital Road, the department announced. Emergency crews were previously on site. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash; Hospital Road between Atlantic Avenue and Squankum-Allenwood Road will be closed for “an extended amount of time.”
