WALL TOWNSHIP — Wall Township police said a power outage that occurred early Thursday afternoon in Wall Township and its neighboring municipalities was caused by a car crashing into a utility pole.

The crash occurred on Hospital Road, the department announced. Emergency crews were previously on site. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash; Hospital Road between Atlantic Avenue and Squankum-Allenwood Road will be closed for “an extended amount of time.”

A power company is now working to repair; It is unknown how long the power will be out.

The cause of the crash is currently unknown. Police said it will provide more information when it is available.
