Binghamton University students turn EMT frustration into a new company
EMS personnel across the country may soon have significantly more time to respond to critical emergencies thanks to new technology pioneered by two Binghamton University students. In October, Lucent won second place at Empire State Development and FuzeHub's invention competition, winning $110,000. Before taking home second place in the invention competition, Lucent won the grand prize at the NY Business Plan Competition in April — resulting in a critical $25,000 check that has helped the company grow in the following months.
