    12-year-old Detroit girl who went missing in May has been recovered, police say

    DETROIT (WWJ) -- The Detroit Police Department says a 12-year-old girl who was missing for nearly a month is back home safe.

    According to a release from the DPD, 12-year-old Zarriah Keys left her home in the 18000 block of Griggs without permission on Saturday, May 11.

    When she didn't come home, she was reported missing the following day,

    On June 4, police shared an update, stating that Zarriah has been recovered. Police did not say where she was found, and no further information about the case was released.
