Softball: Bergen Tech Eliminates Livingston in State Tournament, 1-0
LIVINGSTON, NJ — Senior pitcher Sophia Mount threw a two-hitter, but Livingston was unable to get the big hit and lost, 1-0, in softball to Bergen Tech in the quarterfinal round of the Section 1, Group 4 tournament on Tuesday. Mount, the Villanova-bound right-hander, capped her brilliant career at Livingston by striking out 11 batters and walking three in seven innings. Natalie Bonsignore pitched a masterful two-hit shutout with 12 strikeouts as No. 4 Immaculate Heart (27-2) blanked No. 16 Morris Catholic (17-8) 6-0 on Tuesday. Bonsignore allowed just two singles and one walk over seven innings. The IHA offense gave her all the support she would need with a six-run first inning.

Newton Boys Baseball Team Wins by One Over Lenape Valley in Last Game of Season
NEWTON, NJ—The Newton High School baseball team hosted Lenape Valley on Tuesday, winning 5-4 in their last regular season game. Mason Bucci and Shea Vallorosi each went 2-for-4 at bat with two singles and two RBIs for the Braves. They each hit one single and scored two points a piece. Starting pitcher was Josh Siegel. Siegel threw 108 pitches in six innings. He allowed four runs off seven hits and struck out six. Maslowski, who closed out the game, threw 16 pitches in the final inning, allowing no runs off one hit and striking out one batter. BLOOMINGDALE, NJ - Martha B. Day celebrates 60 years this June. On Friday, May 24th, MBD Maintenance Team cut out the time capsule found from the cornerstone that was placed in 1964. Livingston High School Theater Receives Foxy Award for Outstanding Acting Ensemble in a Dramedy
LIVINGSTON, NJ — The Livingston High School (LHS) theater program has received Montclair State University’s Foxy Award for “Outstanding Acting Ensemble in a Dramedy” for its fall 2023 production of “Pride and Prejudice.” In this category, LHS was up against other New Jersey high schools including Summit, Madison, Bridgewater-Raritan and a handful of performing arts schools.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER “I’m very proud of this award, as it celebrates the entire cast for their outstanding work and commitment to our program—not to mention their mastery of British accents, for which we brought in a professional actor to coach them,” said LHS Director of Theatre Arts Scott Patteson. The LHS theater program performs two stage productions each school year: a drama in the fall and a musical in the spring.
