Hoboken Detectives Investigating Saturday Stabbing
HOBOKEN, NJ - Hoboken police detectives are investigating an incident in which a man was reportedly stabbed after he and his friends confronted someone who they believed appeared to be breaking into a car. The incident occurred on Saturday, with officers responding to the scene near the intersection of Jefferson and Fourth Streets at approximately 4 a.m., according to the Hoboken Police Department (HPD). The individual who allegedly committed the stabbing is not from Hoboken, according to the HPD. An 18-year-old Filipino American student who’s been missing since before Christmas has been found dead in Newark Bay in Bayonne, New Jersey. Cebu Daily News reports the Hudson County Sheriff’s Department pulled the body of Hayley Alvarado from the bay after receiving a report of an unidentified woman seen in the water.

Pitt Street Fire Damages Two Homes
BLOOMFIELD, NJ-- At approximately 2:30 p.m.this afternoon, The Bloomfield Fire Department responded to 41 Pitt Street and found heavy fire enveloping the entire first floor, with flames spreading onto the home at 31 Pitt Street. According to firefighters on the scene, there were residents home at the time of the fire, and they all exited safely on their own.
