    COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Columbia woman was charged on Thursday with two felonies and a misdemeanor after she was accused of firing a gun at several people.

Chante Thorpe, 26, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action and fourth-degree assault, a misdemeanor. Her bond was set at $10,000, and she was not listed on the Boone County Jail roster on Thursday evening. A court date has not been scheduled.

According to the heavily redacted probable cause statement, Columbia police were called to a redacted location at 11:33 a.m. Wednesday for a report of people fighting and shots being fired. One witness had a recording of the incident and allegedly showed police a video of four people fighting in a parking lot before Thorpe allegedly exited a vehicle and fired a round.

The statement says Thorpe fired her gun toward six people, which included two children.

Police allegedly interviewed Thorpe at her residence and saw a gun “in plain view,” court documents say. Thorpe allegedly gave the gun to officers.

According to court documents, Thorpe allegedly said someone she knew was “fighting with several individuals” and asked her to pick her up from Douglass Park and drove her to another area. Thorpe allegedly told officers that three females were fighting while two males recorded the fight, court documents say.

Thorpe allegedly told officers that a boy had told her to back up, and then she fired her gun at the ground near four people who were fighting, according to court documents.
