The Spring Fest is an annual event that brings in hundreds for food, rides, and fun. That all came to an abrupt end on Saturday when police say a large fight broke out. Southaven residents are bracing for a shake-up in the way they dispose of trash and recycling, alongside a spike in their monthly bills. Starting May 1, WastePro will step in to take over the city's waste management from Waste Connections. According to The Commercial Appeal, while the regular waste carts will remain, WastePro will be providing new recycling carts to those residents choosing to opt-in for the service at an additional charge.
