Woman arrested on traffic stop
The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a Dubach woman Tuesday afternoon after she was stopped for a traffic violation, and it was discovered she was wanted. Liberty Martin, 27, was stopped for weaving out of her lane on Braswell Lane near La. Highway 563. When the deputy approached the vehicle, he detected the odor of burnt marijuana and saw two young children in the vehicle. When asked about the marijuana, Martin said she smoked in the vehicle earlier in the day.

ULS appoints two new leaders to Louisiana Tech executive team
RUSTON, La. (KNOE) - The University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors approved two employees to serve in important leadership positions for Louisiana Tech University. Cami Geisman was approved as the new executive vice president for external affairs and Dr. Donna Thomas was approved as the university’s new provost and vice president for academic affairs. Both appointees have previous experience working for Louisiana Tech.

Dubach Police officer arrested on drug charges
Dubach Police Officer, James Patrick McCullin Jr., was taken into custody on multiple charges, including Distribution of Schedule II CDS, Possession of a Firearm During a CDS Felony, Possession of Schedule I CDS, Possession of Schedule II CDS, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Malfeasance in Office. He is currently being held at the Lincoln Parish Detention Center after his arrest at the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office. McCullin had been working with the Dubach Police Department for about 2 years.
LPSB bond proposal: A closer look at the proposed RHS covered facility
Following the Lincoln Parish School Board’s unanimous February vote to send a $17.5 million bond proposal for a public vote in April, one of the line items in the total proposal the residents of Ruston School District No. 1 will include a large covered facility for the campus of Ruston high School that will be nestled cozily to the Chick Childress Field House on the north side of Hoss Garrett Stadium.
