Traffic stop leads to drug arrest
A Grambling man was arrested by Ruston Police on drug and traffic charges Saturday night after he was stopped for no headlights. Lorenzo Franklin, 72, was stopped about 8:30 p.m. Saturday on West California Avenue for operating a vehicle without headlights. A records check showed Franklin’s driver’s license was under suspension and he was wanted on a warrant from Bienville Parish for failure to appear in court.

A Simsboro man was arrested Sunday morning after the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office investigated a domestic incident. The alleged victim told a deputy she and her boyfriend, Lanard Pruitt, 43, had gotten into an argument at their home over the keys to her vehicle. The victim said while the argument ensued, Pruitt threw her onto the bed and pinned her down and forced her to hit herself in the face with her own hands.
