TROY, Ala. (WSFA) - A 12-year-old boy was shot and killed in Troy today, and a 15-year-old suspect is being charged with reckless murder. According to Troy Police, on Tuesday, the Troy Police Department responded to the 900 block of Pike County Lake Road in reference to a report of a male subject being shot.

Troy football schedule: Game times/ TV announced for 4 games, including Battle of the Belt
The first three games of the Troy football season have gotten time and TV designations, along with the November rivalry matchup with South Alabama. Troy's home opener against Stephen F. Austin on September 2 will start at 6 p.m. on ESPN+. Troy will then go on the road to face Kansas State at 11 a.m. on Fox Sports One. The Trojan's Sun Belt opener against James Madison is on September 16 at 6 p.m. with TV being announced at a later date. The 'Battle of the Belt' will be played on Thursday, November 2 at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN2.
