Though it’s been several months since he heard the news, Troy center Eli Russ admits he’s still in shock over Chris Lewis. The Trojans’ star receiver was diagnosed with cancer at the end of 2023, and underwent surgery to remove a tumor from his left leg in the spring. He’ll sit out the 2024 season while continuing his treatment, and plans to serve as a student assistant coach.
