Injured tuber rescued from Pea River
ELBA, Ala. (WDHN) – Crews rushed on Saturday afternoon to save a man, who was injured tubing, on the Pea River in Coffee County. The call came in just after 3 p.m. on Saturday to reports of a man on the Pea River who had lacerated his foot while tubing on the river. Elba Fire Department officials say at the time of the dispatch it was reported that the victim had a makeshift tourniquet applied and was possibly losing consciousness.

Troy man to serve life in prison on rape, unlawful imprisonment charges
TROY, Ala. (WTVY) - A man was sentenced to life in prison on Wednesday after pleading guilty to raping a woman, tying her up and stealing her car. In August 2023, a woman was at her home on Mulberry Street in Troy after having been spending time with a group of friends, including her boyfriend, Judicial Circuit District Attorney James H. Tarbox said in a release.

Enterprise woman pleads guilty to manslaughter in deadly crash
COFFEE COUNTY, Ala (WDHN) — An Enterprise woman has been sentenced after pleading guilty to causing a deadly crash three years ago. Andrea Stacy was charged with one count of manslaughter in the death of 32-year-old Brittanie Ferguson, who died in a car crash just before Christmas in 2021.
