74-Year-Old Woman Robbed of Pricey Necklace During Westbury Street Scam, Cops Say
The Third Squad is investigating a Grand Larceny that occurred on Monday, April 29, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. in Westbury. According to Detectives, a 74-year old female was walking on Salisbury Park Drive near the intersection of Port Lane when a light colored sedan occupied by a driver and two passengers pulled up next to her. Two passengers exited the vehicle, approached the victim and placed plastic necklaces around her neck. The two subjects then reentered the vehicle and left the scene westbound on Salisbury Park Drive. The victim then realized her own necklace that she was wearing, valued at $5,000 US currency was taken by the subjects. Investigation is ongoing.

Blaze Ravages South Farmingdale Home: Arson Bomb Squad on the Case!
The Arson Bomb Squad reports the details of a Fire that occurred on Monday, April 29, 2024 at 2:50 p.m. in South Farmingdale. According to Detectives, Officers responded to a 911 call for heavy smoke at a West Oak Street residence. Upon arrival, officers observed a fire on the first floor. All occupants were out of the residence prior to police arrival. The South Farmingdale Fire Department along with the East Farmingdale, Bethpage, and North Massapequa Fire Departments responded and extinguished the flames.
