Auglaize County Veterans Pavilion is dedicated
WAPAKONETA — It has been a long road to get the Auglaize County Veterans Pavilion built at the Auglaize County Fairgrounds. But Veterans Service Office director Rob Wiss said at Friday’s dedication ceremony the pavilion would give the office good opportunities to connect with veterans in the county at a comfortable setting.

LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Residents were moving and grooving to the music at Lincoln Park Friday evening!. Friday night was the second night of this year's "Lincoln Park Dances," and many took advantage of the warm weather to dance, sing, or even just sit back and relax to some of their favorite tunes by the band "Exploit Trio." At Friday night's dance, we talked with husband-and-wife dancing duo Ken and Karen Dillman, who traveled all the way from Hilliard to enjoy an evening of dancing and music right here in Lima.
Community fills Spartan Stadium for the 30th Lima Relay for Life
LIMA, OH (WLIO) - It was a powerful evening at Spartan Stadium as the region gathered to show their support for survivors of cancer. The community came together for the 30th Lima Relay for Life to help raise money for the American Cancer Society on Friday evening. The collected funds will go toward cancer research and education, along with supporting cancer patients and their families. The evening started with the Mercy Health-St. Rita's cancer survivors celebration dinner inside Lima Senior, followed by the survivor lap around Spartan Stadium. Whether at dinner or on the track, the sight of the community coming together is meaningful for everyone, including cancer survivor Kenneth Wills.
Botkins plans to increase road repair projects
BOTKINS — While working on updating the zoning codes, Botkins village administrator Randy Purdy noticed that only 38 percent of roads in town were up standards. So, the Village Council has decided to put more road projects on the books for the rest of 2024 and 2025 in order to fix the issue, which it discussed during its meeting on Tuesday.

Design Competition For New Shrine at Indian Lake
The American Society of Ephesus (“ASE”), in cooperation with ArtSpace/Lima, has announced that its state-wide Design Competition for the new Our Lady of Fatima Shrine at Indian Lake will start accepting entries on Saturday, June 15, 2024. The Entry Form and Rules are both posted on the websites for ASE and for ArtSpace/Lima, found at the end of this article. The Due Date for submission of all Entries is August 15, 2024. There are six Age Categories for artists: 10 & Under, 12 & Under, 14 & Under, 16 & Under, 18 & Under and Over 18. All Artists must be Ohio residents, as outlined in the Rules. There are cash prizes for the winning entries in all Age Categories of $1,000 for the first five Age Categories and up to $5,000 for the winning Entry in the Over 18 Age Category. Entries may also be submitted by a Design Team, as long as all members of the team meet the age and residency requirements.
