Carpenter went 2-for-5 with a triple, a double, four RBI and one run scored in Friday's 13-0 win over the Diamondbacks. Carpenter knocked in two runs with a third-inning triple and added a two-run double to cap a six-run rally in the fifth. The outfielder has gone 9-for-26 (.346) with seven extra-base hits and seven RBI over his last seven contests. That's put him at a .276/.328/.520 slash line with five home runs, 22 RBI, 15 runs scored, nine doubles and three triples through 41 contests as one of the Tigers' most productive hitters this season.

Atlanta outrighted Stephens to Triple-A Gwinnett on Saturday. Stephens came up from the minors May 4 to replace the injured Pierce Johnson, and will now return to Triple-A as Johnson comes off the IL. Stephens made three appearances in his latest big-league stint, allowing one run over 3.1 innings while striking out two batters and walking one.

Mayo was placed on Triple-A Norfolk's 7-day injured list Friday due to a fractured rib, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports. Mayo was removed from Thursday's game against Lehigh Valley after he collided with the dugout railing chasing a pop-up in foul territory. X-rays after the game revealed that Mayo suffered a fractured rib, and the 22-year-old is set to be sidelined for several weeks. Before the injury, he was slashing .291/.359/.605 with 11 doubles, 13 home runs and 37 RBI over 192 plate appearances at Triple-A.

The Astros will recall Mushinski from Triple-A Sugar Land prior to Friday's game versus the Brewers, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports. There's no word yet on what the corresponding move will be, but Shawn Dubin threw three innings Thursday so he is a candidate to be options. Mushinski has been knocked around for seven runs (five earned) over four relief innings during his time in the majors this season.

Castro (shoulder) has been pulled back from his throwing program, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports. It's unclear exactly when Castro was taken off the program, but he's "been shut down for a couple of days," per Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo. The right-hander had been cruising through the regimen, throwing out to 90, 110 and 120 feet when he felt discomfort on the top of the shoulder. Lovullo said Castro just needs a bit more rest and a second opinion is not needed at this time.

Cano (2-2) allowed two runs on two hits in one-third of an inning to take the loss Saturday versus the Mariners. Cano allowed the first two batters to reach base in the eighth inning, giving up one run in the process. Cionel Perez also allowed an inherited runner to score, and the Orioles couldn't overcome the deficit. This is the first time Cano has given up multiple earned runs in an appearance all season, and just the second time he's given up more than one run of any kind. He's now at a 2.95 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 18:9 K:BB while adding two saves and 10 holds over 21.1 innings. The late-inning mix in Baltimore remains in flux, and Cano isn't doing himself any favors with three runs allowed over his last 1.1 innings across three appearances.

Alonso went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run during Thursday's 6-5 win over the Phillies. Alonso tagged Taijuan Walker (foot) for a solo shot in the first inning, putting the first baseman in double figures for homers this season. He's now tied for the fourth most home runs in the NL and owns a .772 OPS with 27 runs through 164 at-bats.
