All-time great NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski threw out the ceremonial first pitch before Monday's MLB matchup between the Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Guardians.

Gronk, one of the most beloved athletes in Boston sports history, knows how to play to a crowd. And on Monday, the former NFL star did not disappoint.

Instead of tossing out a normal first pitch, Gronkowski executed his iconic touchdown celebration — spiking the ball into the turf right in front of the mound.

Take a look at the moment here:

Fans absolutely loved this move from Gronk.

"Gronk is gonna Gronk!" one wrote.

"Gronk spike first pitch. Epic," another said.

"How can you not love Gronk?" another asked.

"Gronk is a legend," another added.

Today marks the Red Sox's annual Patriots Day morning game. This game is one of several events to celebrate the holiday, including the Boston Marathon.

The Red Sox and Guardians are locked up a zero runs apiece at the top of the 4th.
