Burning Ma'aM is getting bigger for its fourth year. The DIY campout music festival hosted by State College-based cowpunk rockers Ma'aM will be held Friday, May 24, and Saturday, May 25, at Winkelblech Fields, 1104 Pine Creek Road in Woodward. It will mark the first time the festival has featured two full days and nights of music and camping. Traffic Congestion Expected During Paving Work on Atherton Street
Drivers can expect heavier traffic congestion this week on one section of South Atherton Street in State College as work continues on PennDOT's multi-year Atherton Street project. Starting Monday, three crews will be working between West Irvin Avenue (near Community Field) and Center Lane (just past Westerly Parkway) on curb placement, sidewalk and ADA-compliant ramp installation and paving.
