Moore County high school student killed in crash
A Moore County high school student was killed Tuesday in a rollover crash on Youngs Road in Vass. Around 8 a.m., the State Highway Patrol said the driver of a Honda Civic was traveling at a high rate of speed, when he lost control on a curve and crashed. The vehicle flipped three times and collided with a tree.
Search leads to arrest of Robbins man on drug charges
A joint operation between the Moore County Probation and Parole and Moore County Sheriff’s Department resulted in the arrest of a 57-year-old Robbins man. Terry Williams was arrested on Thursday after a search of a house in the 200 block of Jim Road in Robbins, where the agencies seized suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Meth, fentanyl, mushrooms seized during large drug bust in Lee County, deputies say
SANFORD, N.C. (WNCN) – Two people are facing several charges after a massive drug bust in Lee County. On May 9, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant at a home at 418 S. Franklin Drive in Sanford. While searching the residence, deputies found methamphetamine, fentanyl, psilocybin mushrooms, dextroamphetamine, suboxone and marijuana inside, deputies said.
