Meth, fentanyl, mushrooms seized during large drug bust in Lee County, deputies say
SANFORD, N.C. (WNCN) – Two people are facing several charges after a massive drug bust in Lee County. On May 9, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant at a home at 418 S. Franklin Drive in Sanford. While searching the residence, deputies found methamphetamine, fentanyl, psilocybin mushrooms, dextroamphetamine, suboxone and marijuana inside, deputies said.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office received a report in April 2024 of an inappropriate relationship between a teacher, Frank Mauricio De Leon, 56, and a student that had allegedly occurred at Lee County High School.
