Liberty Park to feature fencing, a first for Boise
BOISE — A 50-year-old park on the Boise Bench will be getting a much-needed facelift following a Thursday ground breaking. Liberty Park off of Emerald Street is undergoing renovations for improved accessibility, the addition of bathrooms and new playground equipment. The park is the oldest city park to have gone so long without any renovations. 6 openings and closings on the Boise-area food-and-drink scene
The Treasure Valley’s restaurant and bar landscape is shifting fast, with new arrivals in Meridian and some familiar names going dark. Here’s what we covered on the food-and-drink scene this past week. Crave Kitchen & Bar, the Eagle hot spot that opened in 2020, is headed to Meridian’s Ten Mile Crossing development in a roughly 8,000-square-foot space in front of Scheels, with a target opening of fall 2027 and more than 100 new jobs expected. Korean bakery café chain Paris Baguette made its Idaho debut Friday, Oct. 30 , at The Village at Meridian, bringing fresh breads, pastries, cakes, sandwiches and coffee to 3395 E. Longwing Lane from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Just Chicken, an Ohio-based tenders-and-sandwiches concept, has shuttered at The Warehouse Food Hall in downtown Boise’s BoDo district after just over a year. Late-night fast-food options on Boise’s west side shrank when the Jack in the Box at 7040 W. State St. served its final customers , clearing the way for Utah-based chain Mo’ Bettahs to remodel and take over the 2,875-square-foot building.
