Next Steps Family Resilience Center breaks ground in Beloit
BELOIT, Wis. (WIFR) - Family Services of Southern Wisconsin breaks ground on a new community center set to arrive in early 2025. On Tuesday, project leaders and guests attended the ground breaking ceremony at the Royce Elementary School, 825 Liberty Avenue. The building will be repurposed to become the Next Steps Family Resilience Center.

Crash shuts down part of East Milwaukee Street
JANESVILLE – Two separate motor vehicle crashes on East Milwaukee Street disrupted traffic Sunday, with part of East Milwaukee Street shut down as a result. East Milwaukee Street was shut down between South Pontiac Drive and Lexington Drive after Janesville police officers responded to a two-car collision with injuries there around 12 p.m. As of 1 p.m., the stretch remained closed. Officers responded to a separate two-car collision with injuries on East Milwaukee Street and U.S. Highway 14 shortly before 12 p.m. This collision did not result in any closed streets.
