Local students help install thousands of flags at Somerset County's Patriot Park
SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — The second day of flag installation took place Monday at Patriot Park in Stoystown where neighboring schools volunteered in assisting the Park Foundation. Organizers say approximately 2,500 flags were installed on Saturday. The crew was tasked with installing the remaining flags Monday morning.
Windber church rebuilding begins after fire started by lightning strike
It was over a year and a half ago Windber Church of the Nazarene was lost, and officials with the church said they are hopeful and excited with the progress being made. August 2022 is when lightning struck the church along Graham Avenue in Windber, forcing their congregation that since the incident has been about 20 to attend other churches.

Cambria County bridges named in emotional tribute to local Korean War and Navy veterans
CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Thursday, two bridge dedication ceremonies were held in Cambria County to honor local veterans. Both ceremonies were held at the Ebensburg VFW. The bridge carrying West High St. over the Ghost Town Trail in Ebensburg is now designated as the Corpsman Charles Doerr, United States Navy Memorial Bridge.
