1-month-old dies after being found unresponsive at Staten Island home
NEW YORK -- A 1-month-old child has died after being found unresponsive at a Staten Island home Saturday.Officers were sent to NYCHA's West Brighton Houses around 6:45 a.m. in response to a 911 call.When officers arrived, they found the 1-month-old boy unconscious and unresponsive. Emergency responders took the child to Richmond University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.According to police, the 1-month-old had visible signs of trauma on one of his arms.Police say 38-year-old Leonard Thompson and 36-year-old Jenice Lightfoot were both arrested in connection with the investigation. Both are facing reckless endangerment charges.The medical examiner will determine the child's exact cause of death.

Deadly crashes are up 27% in New Jersey so far this year
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. - Fatal crashes are on the rise in New Jersey. So far in 2024, deadly crashes are up 27% statewide. The most traffic deaths are happening in Central Jersey, including Middlesex County. South Brunswick has had five deadly crashes this year, with a total of eight fatalities.
