"RideAbility" seeks therapeutic horseback riding volunteers
PINE ISLAND, Minn.-The nonprofit organization RideAbility is looking for volunteers for their horseback riding season. The organization offers children and adults with special needs the chance to try therapeutic horseback riding at their equestrian facility. Most of their volunteers will do "sidewalking" for the clients. That means they'll walk alongside riders and their horses. They could also use volunteers to take care of barn duties, which may include grooming the horses. Jeanie Michelizzi, the executive director of RideAbility, said the work can be rewarding for volunteers.
Drug lab allegedly found in Nerstrand basement

RICE COUNTY, Minn. (FOX 9) - A drug lab was discovered in the basement of a Rice County home during the execution of a search warrant on Tuesday, according to court documents. The Cannon River Drug and Violent Offender Task Force executed a search warrant at a two-story house in Nerstrand, Minnesota. Dakota County Attorney Kathy Keena announced on March 20 that Kyle Steven Williams, age 34 of Red Wing, has been indicted for the murder of a Hastings resident in 2021.
