Officer shoots, kills 2 dogs in NW DC
WASHINGTON — Two dogs are dead after an officer responding to a call for service shot and killed them on Thursday. At 1:39 p.m., officers with the Metropolitan Police Department responded to the 3600 block of 11th Street NW for a reported stabbing. At the scene, police say they were charged by two off-leash dogs. This is when one officer pulled out his gun and shot the animals. Both dogs were declared dead at the scene.
Catfish ring busted in Charles County, 5 men under arrest
CHARLES COUNTY, Md. — Police have arrested five men in connection to a catfish ring that ended with multiple victims being robbed in Maryland. Charles County Police arrested five suspects between the ages of 17 and 21 years old. According to police, the men created a fake profile on a dating app. Once they matched with someone, they would give them directions to meet in an area along Amberleaf Place. When the victims would arrive, the robbers would hold them at gunpoint, beat them up, and steal their money.
