Is SF's Lyft Bike Subscription Worth It?

In July, my sister visited and asked me to show her some of my favorite things to do in San Francisco. We own a couple of bikes, so I suggested we ride bikes through Golden Gate Park to Ocean Beach. She said she didn’t have the energy for a regular bike, but would ride an e-bike. I knew there were some Lyft e-bikes in our neighborhood, but believe it or not, I’d never actually tried them out (or even ridden an e-bike of any kind before) since I already have my own bike.

The San Francisco Chronicle has called the race. San Jose Resolves 98% of Abandoned Car Cases, Yet Residents Say Streets Still Clogged

Roosevelt Park — Reported Neighborhood of Vehicle Complaints. San Jose’s Department of Transportation closed 98% of roughly 10,000 vehicle abatement cases within two weeks, according to the city Auditor’s Office. That measure tracks case resolution, not necessarily a vehicle’s permanent removal: a case can close after an owner moves a car, even if it later returns. If she takes AC Transit, which requires traveling to and waiting at the bus stop, she must keep an eye out for the weather – Crochet is heat sensitive, and her power wheelchair cannot get wet. On rainy days, she must book a paratransit ride at 5 p.m. the day before. The commute from Oakland takes about two hours, and she fears it could get even longer if a transit funding measure fails on Tuesday.
