Wildlife photographer robbed at gunpoint in Oakland hills
OAKLAND, Calif. - A nature photographer, admired for his skills, was robbed at gunpoint of his personal belongings - including an expensive camera - in the Oakland hills. Jim Roach, 72, said he was apparently followed and confronted by three masked robbers after he had parked his car near Joaquin Miller Road and Skyline Boulevard just before dawn Friday. He had been preparing to go on a hike and take pictures.
Richmond sets the date for Juneteenth Family Parade & Festival
Richmond’s “2023 Richmond Juneteenth Family Parade & Festival” is returning to Richmond on Sat., June 17, courtesy of the N.B.A., City of Richmond and Chevron Richmond. Plans are for the Juneteenth parade to kick off at the Booker T. Anderson Center at 10 a.m. and end at Nicholl Park, 3230 Macdonald Ave., Richmond, where the festival will be held, according to info provided by Crime Prevention Manager for the City of Richmond Michelle Milam. Following the parade, the Juneteenth festival will get rolling at Nicholl Park from 11:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. Further details surrounding the event’s offerings are still in the works.
A Woman And 2 Juveniles Found Dead In Home Monday
First responders in Fremont on Monday discovered a dead woman and two dead juveniles in a home, the Fremont Police Department said. Around 1 p.m., both police and fire responded to the 40000 block of Inglewood Common after receiving a "problem call." Once inside the home, officers discovered a woman and two juveniles dead, police said.

Teen Suspect Surrenders over 4-Year-Old's Shooting

Carjacking Suspect Detained After Colliding with Police Vehicle in Oakland
An alleged carjacker was detained in Oakland after colliding with a police vehicle during an escape attempt. The event transpired at 3:30 am near Bancroft and 62nd Avenues, where the suspect disobeyed a stop signal, prompting a police pursuit. The chase concluded at 82nd and Bancroft when the suspect's dark SUV crashed into a police car. The individual tried to escape on foot but was quickly captured. No injuries were reported.

Laguna Hills, Ca. (June 5, 2023): In December 2022, a series of threats began towards Laguna Hills High School, staff, and students after a championship football game. These threats spanned through June 2023, and included three false reports of a possible shooter approaching the school’s campus, a bomb threat, a death threat via telephone, and at least 10 known death threats via written letter utilizing the United States Postal Service. Two of these threats targeted Laguna Hills High School’s Senior Graduation Ceremony on Thursday, June 1.
