Fayette County paramedic attacked
A Fayette County EMS worker was attacked while rending aid at a Dollar General on May 4. According to the Pennsylvania State Police, PSP Uniontown responded to National Pike for a report of an unresponsive male at the location. When troopers arrived on scene all parties involved were spoken to on scene. The investigation determined that a man passed out in the break room of the Dollar General while under the influence of a controlled substance. That man then physically assaulted a paramedic from Fayette County who was called to render aid.
Girls relay team uses home-track advantage to win at Baldwin Invitational
The girls 3,200-meter relay team’s performance at the 50th annual Baldwin Invitational is one senior Mackenzie Hirt won’t soon forget. Hirt, a fourth-year competitor for the Baldwin girls track and field team, and sophomores Molly Gorman, Mackenzie Bowen and Julianne Ott, took first place at the invitational May 3 at Baldwin Stadium.

Addison Arndt, a two-sport standout at Thomas Jefferson, is attending Penn State in the fall. She will take a 3.9 GPA with her to the University Park campus. “I am committed to Penn State,” Arndt said. “I am going in as an undecided major, but I am very interested in kinesiology and psychology.
