WICHITA FALLS ( KFDX/KJTL ) — Fingerprints, surveillance video and a distinctive tattoo led to an arrest that has solved numerous burglaries this year, according to police.

Stephen Robledo is jailed on more than $100,000 bonds for seven burglaries police say occurred around Wichita Falls from late December last year to May 7, 2024.

Robledo was arrested on May 7 after police set up surveillance of a building on Garfield because of multiple break-ins at this location.

According to officers, a hole had been cut into the building two days earlier, and on the night they had it under surveillance, an officer heard noises near the hole and found Robledo coming through it.

Officers held him at gunpoint and then took him to the ground. They said he made a statement that he was looking for a concrete saw.

Up to $5,500 offered for information on fourth WF murder of 2024

Other burglaries he has been linked to include one at a building on Maurine in which police say he was identified while breaking in and taking items by the distinctive five-point star tattoo on his right elbow.

Another burglary led to charges when police found power tools and other items stolen from Cowtown Materials on Avenue K advertised on a social media market page.

When the persons selling the items were asked where they obtained them, they told police the man who sold them to them said he had ordered too many tools on his last construction job and needed to sell the leftovers.

Robledo has also been charged with breaking into the Wichita Falls Softball Complex concession stand on Sheppard Access on February 7. Police say they found latent prints there that were matched to Robledo.

Surveillance video of a break-in at a grave monument company on Seymour Highway also led to another charge.

According to police, Robledo’s previous arrests include several for drug possession and one for aggravated robbery.
