The County Administrator, Randy Russell, says although turnout has been slow, they are expecting it to increase throughout the day.
”We’re hoping, we’re hopeful that we get a much better turnout than we have in the past. Early voting, we ended up this time at about 1,951 voters early voted this year, which is a record number for us. In the early voting, I think in the past, our highest number was 1,356. So, we’re there.”

Russell says it isn’t only your right to get out and vote, but it is also your responsibility to let your opinion be heard.
“You’re choosing our leaders that are going to lead us for the next two or four years, depending upon the office. You know, I think it’s very important that that people voice their opinion and get out and vote.”

Polling locations will remain open until 7:30 p.m. so there is still plenty of time to get out and cast your ballot.
