The Parker County Sheriff's Office and the Texas Rangers have charged two men in connection with the Tuesday morning incident at the District Court's Building in downtown Weatherford.

Earlier this week the bomb squad was called out to check out a suspicious container that was left on the steps of the county courthouse.

Officials said the hard-sided black plastic case was padlocked, had caution tape on it, and had what appeared to be an antenna sticking out of it.

In addition to the Fort Worth Bomb Squad, Weatherford Police, the Texas Rangers, the FBI, and the ATF all showed up to investigate. It was later determined by bomb squad technicians that the case contained no harmful components or explosives.

Parker County Sheriff Russ Authier stated, "Sheriff's Office Investigators and the Texas Rangers have worked diligently on this investigation and thanks to several tips received by our local citizens, they were able to identify and arrest two individuals with this investigation."

Officials say 24-year-old Kristopher Daniel Cloud and 27-year-old Parker Bryan Whitworth. both of Lipan, Texas, have been charged each with one count of Terroristic Threat (third-degree felony) and one count of Terrorism (second-degree felony) with their bonds set at $150,000.00 and $250,000.00 for each count.

Both remain incarcerated in the Parker County Jail.
