CHILLICOTHE - The City of Chillicothe announced that it is the recipient of grant funding from the H2Ohio Chloride Reduction Program. The funding is for communities to improve salt storage and distribution to reduce the amount of salt running off into Ohio’s streams, rivers, and lakes. OSHP: Man critically injured after motorcycle crashes into utility pole in Ross County
ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A motorcyclist was critically injured when he crashed into a utility pole in Ross County on Monday, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Just before 6:15 p.m., a man riding a 1999 Harley Davidson 883 motorcycle was heading north on state Route 772. While approaching up-ahead traffic in the northbound lane, the motorcyclist crossed the centerline and overturned.

Waverly to receive grant for energy-efficient streetlights
WAVERLY, Ohio – The city of Waverly is set to brighten its streets and save on energy costs thanks to a $32,626 grant from the state. The funding will allow the city to replace 46 streetlights with energy-efficient LED lighting, as part of Governor Mike DeWine’s $3.1 million initiative to promote sustainability in Ohio communities.

A South Salem man who was reported as missing after leaving his home around 7:45 a.m. Tuesday was found safe and was back at home around 7 p.m. Wednesday. Michael Marler, 64, had not been seen since he left home for work Tuesday morning.
